Collin Comes to Town :: Part 4 – Eastern Washington

by Stephanie

Top of the morning!

Today we finish off the mini-series, “Collin Comes to Town.”

{Part 1 // Part 2 // Part 3}

We last left off as Collin and I took the pass over the Cascade Mountains into Central Washington.

After our whirlwind-jam-packed tour of Seattle, we needed a little R&R and a slower pace.

Our days kind of went like this…

Laying down by the river, visiting a local brewery, then taking pictures of me playing with the weeds…

Visiting the cute, Bavarian town of Leavenworth…

…which included a trip to the hat shop.

…and my first taste of gelato…

Mikey likes it! {This was right after I scorched my mouth on “The World’s Hottest Salsa.” Yeah, I was trying to be tough stuff, but instead left the shop crying.}

We stopped at local fruit stands…

…and tried out some honey.

…and ate a ton of cherries!

So good.  I didn’t allow Collin to buy any fruit on the Seattle side [much to his chagrin], simply because I knew we could get a better deal on this side of the mountain and that they would taste soooo much better.  {Speaking of a good deal – yesterday my dad and I got cherries for $1 a pound! And they are GOOD!}

We hiked up Saddlerock…

Taking pictures a long the way, of course.

Back side of the rock…

On top!

It’s a pretty little town, no?

We also spent a couple of days in Chelan. One day at the waterslides, which was a blast, and the other wine tasting.

Romping through the vineyards…

And taking cute #selfies…

All in all a perfect 12 days! [Which could have been extended for a whole month - there are so many things to do here!]

Maybe next summer, but until then…

Back to your regular programing.

Laters, baby.
