This course will give you the skills to design and deliver HIIT training sessions that will challenge even the fittest of clients. HIIT is extremely popular because it provides both strength training and the calorie burning that comes with a cardio workout in intensely short sessions. HIIT classes are coached and programmed by members of our own professional staff. During each class coaches will demonstrate every move, always focusing on proper form, making sure you are safe and getting the most out of each workout. High Intensity Interval Training for your total body HIIT at the YMCA is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided. High Intensity Interval Training enhances athletic capacity and fat burning with bursts of high-energy exercise followed by active recovery to improve endurance and build strength.
