#Jeah #Jeah #JEAH!

by Stephanie

Well hello there.

I have been running around, literally, like a crazy person.

That would be my Daily Mile log, [which we should be friends on].

76 miles of running, swimming and cycling, and don’t forget to add in those ever important lifting sessions.

Something about the Olympics, man.

Oh Ryan, teach me how to swim faster!

*sigh*

I highly doubt my measly 76 miles would impress this Olympic god… ha!

It would be completely okay with me if the internet started a Ryan Lochte meme to replace the {almost equally} drool-worth Ryan Gosling.

….

I just got lost in my own head for the past 15 minutes while looking at pictures of Ryan on his Twitter account.

How cute is that.

I mean… seriously.

I have a problem.

Time to run.

And bike.

And swim.

I’m Up, I’m Up

by Stephanie

Oh man.

6:00 am came way too early this morning.

I blame it on Mad Men.

I had some major catching up to do after a graduation, travel, and settling in at home.

BUT true to my word, I was up and out of bed by 6:15!

gumble, grumble…

I better be thanking myself later or someone’s gonna get it!

I’m sure you’re scared.

_____

So this Sunday is my next half marathon of the season.

I realized that I had a race schedule about two days ago.

Yeah, kind of snuck up on me there…

My goal is still to run a sub-1:30 half, but due to my lack of distance for the past three weeks, I’m not gonna beat myself up if I don’t.

It is, thankfully, a nice downhill race.

These are last year’s results for Overall Female for the Half.

I don’t know if this means I have an excellent chance of placing first, or that this course is hard as hell…

We shall see!

Alright, time to get out there and conquer my morning run.

I’m going to have to bundle up – 45 degrees!

It’s June for goddsakes!

Sigh…

Have a pleasant day, chaps!

I <3 Mizuno

by Stephanie

As I said yesterday, I was off to Medved to get some new running shoes.

And did I find some running shoes!

I present to you, my new Mizuno Wave Precision 12s.

Dun-duh-duh-dahhhh! {superhero music}

Aren’t they awesome! I l.o.v.e. the colors!

I sent a picture to my dad and his response… “Okay?? How much did they cost?”

HA! Typical Dad.

He just doesn’t get it!

Nor would my mom.

Duh.

Like I said, I wanted to go with something a bit more lightweight than my Wave Riders.  I spoke with the salesman [who, by the way, was also awesome and so knowledgeable] and told him what I was looking for.  He then took a look at my foot, asked a few questions about where I typically run, and he brought out a few ultralightweight shoes with enough support for the hard surfaces (outside/pavement) I typically run on.

The other shoes fit great, but the Mizunos feel so good.

It’s a match made in heaven.

Right after I purchased them, I went straight to the gym to test them out with a little HIIT treadmill workout a la Hillary.

HIIT Treadmill Workout
(4 miles – 32 minutes)
5 minutes @ 7.2 mph
1 min @ 7.2 // 1 min @ 8.2 – repeat
1 min @ 7.4 // 1 min @ 8.4 – repeat
1 min @ 7.0 // 1 min @ 9.0 – repeat
1 min @ 7.4 // 1 min @ 8.4 – repeat
1 min @ 7.2 // 1 min @ 8.2 – repeat
Finish 4th mile @ 7.5

Remember, you can follow all my running workouts at Daily Mile.

I followed that up with a few squats, deadlifts, and lunges.  Felt amazing.  They are so nice and light. YAY!

Okay, that’s enough pictures of my shoes.

Okay, okay. Last one I promise! So sexy {the shoes, not my legs! ha!}.

See you on the track!
